Shes a 12 year old junior, but all players were 12 once. Btw, Laura was only 14 when she won junior wimb and look at all the people who have written articles etc about her while she was that age.
So no, not IMO but if you dont like it dont read the thread. Certainly dont bump it just to whine that u dont like it

Re: Eden Silva
Eden will be featured on a Channel 4 documentary, Trophy Kids, on Thursday. Hopefully I can find clips online because I'm not in England.

Re: Eden Silva
Wow £200 an hour coaching lessons with a coach that worked with Lindsay, Sampras and Masha when they were all about the same age He thinks she is on the right track so it certainly looks like she could be something worth watching.

Re: Eden Silva
OMG....
First of all - shes so cute seems very intellectual for her age
But secondly (and more importantly) it really showed the darker side to a tennis players childhood. I mean, her dad seems like such a prick, yet if she goes on to be a success she would have him to thank! I agree with you serenus 2k8, she didn't seem too motivated and it was her dad who was saying "she wants this, she wants this bad" etc.
Also, £125,000 over a 20 month period for a 12 year old tennis player!!!  O. M. G!
It'll be interesting to see her development over the years.

Re: Eden Silva
OMG every father on that show was hideous. Every one of them used emotional blackmail on those kids. Especially the Wolf's father. He was just so utterly repulsive.

Omg yeh The golf parents were crazy. The boxing dad I felt a bit sorry for because he really just lived for his kids and his son got screwed by the ref in that boxing match
In the end I actually felt her dad was by far the nicest, he clearly loved her a lot. When he got called for coaching I laughed though, he could hardly deny it. Then he said ''its a 12 year old tournament for Gods sake'' when it was the world championships and it was all a bit rich from some1 spenind 125k a year on his kid But she has potential, I didnt realise she was injured and the girl who beat her was so hyped.
I hope she makes it big :yeah;

Re: Eden Silva
First of all, A lot of you sound as extreme as you say those parents are. Have you no idea what the media and television do. Let me explain, a lot of what you saw was staged or the parents were egged on to say and do certain things. I know one of these parents personally and I can assure you this is the case. Comments made by this parent were completely taken out of context and the full comment was not shown. "hit the Fucking ball" was made under his breath, however the doc shows it as if he were saying it aloud and directly to his daughter and for everyone to hear. "At times our relationship appears professional and business like" again out of context, they left out "and other times I look at her and see a 12 year old child that I want to hug. This girl has 3 GCSE's and is a happy child who loves tennis. The parents are very loving and caring to both of their children. What happens on the court is not reflective of home life.Sometimes things are not as they seem
