Same. I almost want her to beat Serena.

yup. I'm a bit torned. I wanted Serena to re-gain the number 1 position, which requires her beating Vika. But if Serena is as dis-interested in it all as in Sydney, I definitely want Vika to win. She seems like she wants it, and I am not sure about Serena.

Re: 2009 Schedule - next: AUS OPEN

Interesting first round between two players who have just won their first singles title.
I saw Kvitova play last summer. She has power but Vika moves better and is (usually) more consistent.
Kvitova may have become fitter than last year, though; I haven't seen her recently.

Tough draw for Vika overall, but I think she should make it to the R16, presumably to face Serena.

Re: doubles. I like Vera, but I wish Vika would stop switching partner every tournament. Anybody knows why she's no longer playing with Shahar?

I know that Peer and Wozniacki is now a team on a regular basis. What made Peer change partners though I don't know.

Re: 2009 Schedule - next: AUS OPEN

Vika out on a non-tv court again for her 2nd round, damnit. She is first on, and later on, also doubles duty (3rd match on court 7, if I remember correctly)

Re: 2009 Schedule - next: AUS OPEN

easy second round for Vika 4-1 ret, though I hate retirements. But with the heat, I guess it is a good thing Vika doesn't spent too much time on the court, also with doubles duty later on today.
Vika won a lot 12 of 14 when receiving, but only 9 of 19 on own serve.
