Russians at Wimbledon: No-shows and flops :(

This is really looking like a problem generation:

Khromacheva
Kan
(current Kazakh) Putintseva
Gavrilova

I know that there are different factors going on, but I hope they are worked out by the end of this year (or sooner)!

Two other mentions from the previous generation:

(current Kazakh) Voskoboeva
Rodina (not sure why she can't use her SR?)

On the plus side, nice to see Zvonareva entering doubles.

And nto to mention, Khromacheva reach the Junior final here two years ago, so looks like she can play on grass quite well, but decided to play 25K in Minsk instead . But typical for this generation indeed.

Rodina can not use SR anymore as she already used it for FO.

Vera also has a WC to the singles MD in Wimbledon, so we will see her there as well . However, don't know in what shape she is.

Re: Russians at Wimbledon: No-shows and flops :(

Bah, only two of eight Russians advanced to the second round of qualies

Both Ksenia and Vita retired.

Vera D. squandered a 5-1 lead in the third.

The rest: Sasha Panova, Polina and Marta.

Even current Serb Vesna couldn't be counted as a Russian win!
