Congratulations to Elena Dementieva on winning the gold medal in Bejiing for Russia.  And well done to Dinara Safina and Vera Zvonareva on winning their silver and bronze medals respecitvely.  These 3 tennis players gave Russia's medal total a much needed boost.

Russia's synchronized swimmers take gold in Beijing
MOSCOW, August 20 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's synchronized swimming duo, Anastasia Davydova and Anastasia Yermakova, defended their Olympic title on Wednesday winning Russia's 12th gold of the Beijing games.
The Olympic champions, undefeated since 2001, scored a total 99.833 points in the duet synchronized swimming final with five perfect 10s for technical merit in the free routine.
Spain's Gemma Mengual and Andrea Fuentes scored 99.000 points to take silver, and the Japanese pairing, Saho Harada and Emiko Suzuki, clinched bronze with 97.833 points.
