Impressive--she beat two seeded players in qualies in fairly easy straight sets (61 64 and 62 64)!

With her result so far this week, there's a small chance that she could reach a new CH ranking next week.

We just might see Ana play today in live tv coverage! Her match will be on Center court, scheduled as 4th after 12PM. Eurosport will tune in at 2PM and cover the tournament until 7PM, so anyone interested to see this (who can follow Eurosport) should definately pay attention later today.

Ouch--Ana lost to Cibulkova 0 and 2. Still, it was a good tournament for Ana. Hopefully she'll gain confidence from having won three matches, including against two players ranked higher than her. She might even reach a new CH ranking next week.

Also, she picked up almost $5,000, which should give her campaign a small boost.

Yeah, I saw a part of the match, and honestly Cibulkova is just another caliber of a player. She was too powerful, too fast, just plain too good. Nice to see Ana in the main draw of a WTA, but this was not a draw where she would normaly stand a chance of advancing. A nice tournament, though, credit for that.

Ana is in Dubai qualies. In R1 she plays the #12 seed, Manasieva. Given that it's a premier tournament, it's about as good as it could get for Ana.

It'll be very tough, but good luck! She's in good form and Manasieva has seen better days, so you never know.

Manasieva is in good form, in Paris she played such a great match against Kvitova, high quality, so this doesn't surprise me.

In R2, Ana plays Marcella KOEK (#410, CH #396).

Not many points here, but hopefully Ana can get some match play and boost her confidence.

Talk about some bad luck for Ana this week - in R1 of Bath 25k she faced the 2nd seed Cetkovska. But unlike in their only previous meeting where Ana won 2 & 2 (4 years ago on some challenger), this time Cetkovska won in three (3:6, 6:4, 4:6). Not bad against #138 whose career-high is #49. Better luck next time.

But Ana is into the doubles quarterfinal, teamed up with Feurstein. In R1 they beat Barbat/Dunne (who

) and now they'll face the 3rd seeds Giovine/Sirotkina.
