Re: Tereza Mrdeza cheering thread
I can't believe Mrdeza lost this match.
I was unlucky enough to watch Eric vs Pavlovic on Tuesday, the worst women's match I ever watched live.
Eric is so bad! I can only imagine how bad Tereza is then!

Re: Tereza Mrdeza cheering thread
Tereza is playing in next week's $25K Izmir. In R1 she plays the #8 seed, Piven.
Good luck, Tereza. Forget about Zagreb and go out to win!

Re: Tereza Mrdeza cheering thread
Yeah, all these matches can be tricky, as we've seen in Zagreb. But this girl won just 1 out of her last 7 matches, so I hope Tereza can make the most of this one.
She's also playing doubles...:
R1, Buzarnescu/Mrdeza vs. Azzouz/Dzulynsky
Good luck!

Re: Tereza Mrdeza cheering thread
Oh, she really needed to capitalise on this girl's poor form... This is not good. Hope she makes up for it in doubles.

Re: Tereza Mrdeza cheering thread
Tereza is seeded 10th in qualies of Maribor 25k. After getting a bye in QR1, she went on to beat some girl ranked bellow #1000, it was 6:3, 6:0. Next she'll face an unranked Swiss, M. Kraljevic, which should really not be a problem (we've seen this girl in the draws of some of our challengers recently, and she really sucks...). Tereza won't be defending any real points for another 5 weeks or so, so there's definately room to build ranking seriously in these weaker challengers (Q-draw of this one is filled with bagel girls, for example). Oh btw, since this is a 64-player quali draw, it'll probably require 4 rounds from a player to qualify, but Tereza should be able to do it without problems, assuming she's "on".
Good luck!

I was wrong, there's 8 qualifiers here, but the important thing is that Tereza qualified with what looks to be an easy win over Kraljevic, 6:0, 6:4
And here's her quarter of the main draw...:
(8)Audrey Bergot v (Q)Teliana Pereira
Conny Perrin v (Q)Doroteja Eric
Mervana Jugic-Salkic v (wc)Tjasa Srimpf
(3)Masa Zec-Peskiric v (Q)Tereza Mrdeza
Talk about a tough draw - good luck Tereza, you'll definately need it.
Tereza is also in the doubles draw, teamed up with Tabak, and their quarter of the draw looks like this:
Jauk/Koleta v Mrdeza/Tabak
(2)Majeric/Perrin v BYE
Again, talk about a tough draw.
All I can say is...ajmo Tereza

Singles R1:
(3) Zec-Peskiric def. Mrdeza 6:3, 6:1
Doubles QF:
Mrdeza/Tabak def. (2) Majeric/Perrin walkover
OK, at least she'll pick up some doubles points. Next opponents are the thrid seeds Castiblanco/Perez. Good luck!

Re: Tereza Mrdeza cheering thread
Marseille 100k, qualies R1:
(4) A. Naydenova vs. T. Mrdeza
This girl is currently #480, and a few weeks ago she was at her best ever ranking of 459, so eventhough she's seeded I don't think a win here is out of reach for Tereza. In fact, it's an altogether weak quali draw so I really hope Tereza reaches the main draw here.
Good luck!

Re: Tereza Mrdeza cheering thread
A nice move up the doubles rankings for Tereza this week, goes from 690 to 534, due to reaching the finals of Izmir 25k three weeks ago. She's now 7th best Croat in doubles.

Re: Tereza Mrdeza cheering thread
This is a nice way to start off a tournament where there are big points on offer! She really shouldn't have problems qualifying. There are 2 really good MD spots, against wild-cards, where Tereza would be in a wonderfule position to reach R2, but there's also one against world's #136 Soler-Espinosa, and one against the 4th seed Parmentier (WTA #88). All in all...
