Judging by the stats, Tereza's return game was great and seems that her opponent had quite a bit of trouble on serve (4 df's etc.). I don't know when was the last time Tereza beat someone ranked so high (162...did she ever beat someone ranked so high), but it sure is great to see the scoreline. Her confidence probably got an aditional boost after this as well. It'll be interesting to see how she does in the next match after such a big win.
Tomorrow Tereza will get a chance for revenge, cause D. Eric (a qualifier here, who beat #227 Pavlovic in R1) beat her once, back in '09 in Podgorica on clay (R1), it was 6:2, 7:6. Eric is now just 10 spots from her best ever ranking of 467, which suggests that she's probably in a good form. But looks like Tereza is too
I watched Eric today, she is not impressive at all!
Seriously Pavlovic lost that match due to her terrible play, UEs and no movement at all.
Eric even hhad problems with Irena playing as bad as that.
I give great chance to Tereza, but you never know what can happen!
Of course, instead of closing out at *5:4 she allows a break... Not to mention that she was very close to close it out at 5:3* as well... Just don't let it go to three sets. Tereza doesn't seem to be playing very well today (7 df's so far), but she still managed to get a set and a half without any real problems. Now if she lets her opponent back into this match, she could be in serious trouble.
Eric's game streak stops at "just" 7, so now it's 1:3 in the third. OK, at least it's a single break, but still...total chokefest.
P. S. Looks like there'll be streaming from this tournament starting tomorrow (link is on their website, but I suspect only matches from the Center court will be covered); in other words, when all of our girls drop out, then we'll get streaming
