Mrdeza lost to Irina Ramialison in R1 62 67 (10) 62. Not good.

Re: Tereza Mrdeza cheering thread

Tereza is playing in this week's $25K in Belfort. In R1 she drew the #2 seed, Nikola Hofmanova (#190, career-high #181). I can't imagine Tereza winning but I still wish her the best.

She's also playing doubles, with Ani Mijacika. In R1 they play another unseeded team, Guisard/Laurendon.

Despite her dismal loss last week in R1 of a $10K, Tereza moves up to a new career-high ranking this week: #284

Re: Tereza Mrdeza cheering thread

Not expecting much this week, but I think playing doubles could help her get the confidence and the game back.

Good luck!

Re: Tereza Mrdeza cheering thread

Nikola HOFMANOVA (AUT) (2) defeated Tereza MRDEZA (CRO) 6-1 6-3

GUISARD (FRA) / LAURENDON (FRA) defeated MIJACIKA (CRO) / MRDEZA (CRO) 6-1 6-3

Terrible week for Tereza It's really too bad, as she was doing so well the first half of last year, when she soared up the rankings. I'm afraid she's going to fall just as far just as fast.

Re: Tereza Mrdeza cheering thread

Tereza is playing qualies this week at the $25K in Stockholm, where she's the #4 seed. Even given her horrible recent form, she has a winnable first match; it's against Thyra TAUNE, a 15-yo local WC who has only played one pro match in her life (at this same tournament last year), which she lost easily.

If she wins, the second and final qualies round would probably be a lot tougher, most likely against Oxana LYUBTSOVA (#389 but high #149).

Good luck, Tereza!

Re: Tereza Mrdeza cheering thread

At this moment, any win she could make would be valuable.

Tereza won but it was shockingly close, given her opponent: 46 63 76(3). Tereza's form must be a horror show.

I can't see Tereza winning, but I wish her the best anyway.

My bad. It looks like Tereza's opponent was replaced in the draw at the last minute by Anna Smith. Given that Smith is ranked #406, with a career-high ranking of #357, Tereza's win is more notable. But I still can't see her winning her next match...

Re: Tereza Mrdeza cheering thread

She better start playing decently on 25k level, cause she has a bunch of points to defend in the summer

Somehow, against all expectations, Tereza reached yet another career-high ranking this week: #282

Re: Tereza Mrdeza cheering thread

She actually made it to the MD as a LL, but only to lose in straight sets to Gronert (currently at a career-high #259) in R1

Re: Tereza Mrdeza cheering thread

Tereza is playing in qualies for next week's $50K+ in Biberach. Here's her section of the draw:

(1)Romina Oprandi (ITA) v Anne Kremer (LUX)
Tereza Mrdeza (CRO) v Dia Evtimova (BUL)

Estelle Guisard (FRA) v Irina-Camelia Begu (ROU)
(7)Ani Mijacika (CRO) v Nika Ozegovic (CRO)

Given Tereza's recent form, I would be thrilled simply with a win over Evtimova...
