Don't know how most Brits feel but it wouldn't surprise me if they preferred to bow to Queen ANA instead of an inbred Windsor.

I was thinking the same thing. Wimbledon is becoming increasingly slower, and this will definitely benefit Ana's chances against the "favorites."

Re: The 2008 Grass Season: Looking Toward Wimbledon and GS #2

despite it being slower the bounce still stays low enough to be in the aforementioned players' wheelhouse...plus their mentality on grass is much different to clay....its why venus can have piss poor form every where else but still win wimby, why serena can be playing on one foot and with one hand and beat dani and almost beat jh...i'll give her the semis at least

Also, Sjoerd, you need to change your sig now. All of those predictions have come true now.
What is left? All slams and goldenslam? I don't dare to do that right now, but with Ana you NEVER NEVER know.
This girl is so predictable and unpredictable at the same time.

I actually don't believe she will win Eastbourne, but with the field she has a really good chance.
Of course I will scream as hard as needed there to support.
Somehow I think I will be less dissapointed if she lose there.
Wimbledon is more important.

I know this is quite terrible of me but I want her to lose early so she will have more time to get ready for Wimby Please don't tar and feather me *cringes*

Nah.. I want her to at least reach the final so she has a good boost of confidence going into wimby! I really want to see a Ana/Maria final! and a Ana / Venus semi before that!

I'm with you, it will relieve a bit of pressure out of her. But not to lose in 2R, maybe just QF or SF to have good practice

She pulled out of Eastbourne. I don't mind that much. Better for her to rest physically and mentally. Winning her first Slam has to have taken a lot out of her in more ways than one, don't want her to jump back into the water before she is ready.

Wise choice probably... Let's hope it turns this way indeed.

Maria fans are hilarious... getting all excited that Ana doesn't play Eastbourne as if it meant Maria is getting the #1 back next week.
