once Serena lost, i must say I got soo scared for Venus
memories of 2004 French and AO came to mind, where Serena lost first and then later in that day Venus lost |

I'm sure Serena and Venus are up to something. 
They seemed like they are scheduled to have a photoshoot/movie act the next day or what.
Vee lost,I was kind of expected since she didn't even do well after AO.
But when Serena lost,  I am just speechless.I am and she just met a better opponent at the wrong day.

The only thing Julie will be sweeping are floors. Girlfriend needs to earn a living, tennis just isn't working out and there really isn't a market for 40 year old soccer moms in the endorsement area.

Domachowska hopes to have a "fun" match against best friend, Maria Kirilenko
In a press confernece today, Marta Domachowska of Poland was somewhat disappointed with her draw as she has never beaten Maria Kirilenko. She's also very good friends and her doubles partner.
"Maria is a great player and very sweet. I think people misunderstand her shyness for rudeness.  We met in the Amelia Island final and a few times. I had chances in each match but she was mentally stronger each time. Hopefully I can come up on top this time."
Despite losing somewhat early in the US Open, Marta hopes that her win over Wimbledon champion Amelie Mauresmo will bring her some confidence and carry her through the upcoming weeks.
"It should be a great contrast of styles. I rely on my power but she's very fast and has great angles. We'll see what happens!"
