Vaidisova takes pregnancy break

Czech star Nicole Vaidisova has told the ATC tour why she performed so badly during the US Hardcourt season, she was pregnant. Vaidisova has now decided to take a season long break from the ATC tour to look after her baby.

"This is the reason I played so badly in the hardcourt season - I had other things on my mind. You noticed the only player I beat was Alicia Molik, well we were both pretty big so I knew I had a chance against her. All the other fit, slim players I had no chance. Its best I take a break so I can concentrate on one thing at a time"

Her coach will be taking a new player during Vaidisovas time away
