A great report, thanks for digging this out tennisfan! It's wonderful to read how more and more people each day are recognizing Ajla's potential and talent. Also nice to hear (eventhough we, who follow, know this already) that she's not just another brainless ball-basher...we have enough of those

I just checked the (stupid) age eligibility rules on the WTA website and they state that a player can play a maximum of 16 tournaments between her 17th and 18th birthday, excluding only FED Cup matches and SEC
And this is already Ajla's 8th tournament since turning 17, so she probably won't play much for the rest of this season. Either that, or cut down on the first 4 months of 2011 (in that time during 2010 she played 8 events). She also has 93 points to defend by the end of the season so she'll probably play at least a bit more after the USO.
I think she should play 3 more events this year.. In 2011 I think 5 tournaments until May are enough..
She should play the Qualies of Brisbane or Auckland as preperation for the AO and then she has 3 more events to collect points.
