Wtatour.com will webcast (free) all Tier I event finals starting from Berlin & Rome
At least that's what the Globe & Mail says...
http://www.theglobeandmail.com/servl...TPStory/Sports
(...)
Frustrated by television coverage that either does not exist or is tape-delayed and/or truncated, fans have the option of webcasts as offered by individual tournaments or the ATP (atptennis.com) and WTA (wtatour.com) tours.
The ATP offers its nine-tournament Masters Series and the year-end Masters Cup. For $69.95, subscribers can get all of the tour's 2008 events, with seven remaining, including this week's Italian Open. There are four or five matches daily from the centre court with commentary and usually, in the early rounds, the same number from the No. 2 stadium court, though often just with game sound.
For example, matches today involving Richard Gasquet of France, Italians Potito Starace and Andreas Seppi as well as Marat Safin of Russia are on the centre court, while Andy Murray of Scotland against Juan Martin Del Potro of Argentina is on the second court but available to web subscribers, especially those who have at some time in their lives worn a kilt.
The WTA Tour does not offer a similar service, but will be webcasting (free) all of its Tier I event finals, including this week's German Open and next week's Italian Open. But they are not available in countries with television coverage, so the Rogers Cup final in Montreal in August, for example, will not be webcast in Canada.

they dont do WTA Tier I's though
but betting sites always manage to find some obsure Tier 3/4 tournament in middle of nowhere for last few days.

yeah what is that about. I've seen really clear live stream links for Tier 4s or even ITF events but I can't find streams for Tier 1's let alone Tier II's.

Yeah, we got the coverage on betting site of the Auckland (tier IV) semis + finals but couldn't get anything from Miami or IW
It's great that the WTATour is planning to broadcast the Berlin and Rome finals. Canada is one of the rare place on this planet where we can get their broadcasting

Re: Wtatour.com will webcast (free) all Tier I event finals starting from Berlin & Ro
The last few times it has aired the final (just like the Australian Open website this year) the USA, Australia, Europe and Canada were all excluded from viewing them.
It is pretty much reserved for Asia and thats it. A bit stupid really when the bulk of their audience and fans are in US, Europe and Oz

Please. We've had those promises since IW and nothing has worked for me every time I tried to watch?
