Really?
It's easy once you got rid of butter and fattening stuff to cook your stuff.
I am at a friend's right now for a whole week, just discovering her region and such. I am eating too much, we are drinking. God. I need to lose 10pounds lol, anyway I think 1000 cal a day is easy to achieve, as long a you don't starve yourself like if you wanna get a bit of cheese, go for it, but like max 2 times per week, and don't eat something else instead. Of course if you are doing sport exercises, 1000 cal is a bit low.
I think 2300 cal is already a lot for a diet...

I pretty much drink water all day or juice and I never eat candy or chocolate because I don't like it.

Try cheese and that fattening stuff?

If you exercise but don't eat more, you will be more tired so ...

Cheese is a good tip, i love it also
For breakfast i'm also eating oatmeal now. I drink 2 weightgainer shakes a day (2x500 ml/ 2x90g)), at start they were disgusting but it tastes better now. And i eat 500g of quark/joghurt a day. Plus what i normally eat of course
Well, this is what i start with. Next week i will weigh myself, and adjust my diet i don't gain weight

Re: GET IN SHAPE THREAD: Weight-loss, Dieters, and Exercise-enthusiast

This thread is interesting.
I used to not practise any sports but like 9 months ago I randomly started to go to the gym (just not to lose my time because I moved to another company which has a crazy working schedule with a 2 and a half hours lunch break) and play paddle and then I suddenly started to lose weight, so easily without any significant change in my diet (In weekends my diet is not very healthy, I usually drink alcohol, I go to restaurants with friends and even eat pizzas sometimes. Although I must sat my diet has bern always quite healthy from monday to friday), but still I don't gain weight. I went 3 weeks to the beach for holidays and I hardly practised sports and I still have the same weight. It's like activating my body with exercise has changed my metabolism, does it make sense? I felt it was not difficult to lose weight when I started with exercise and it's curious because my previous diets based on eat less calories never worked.

I went from 82-83 (I've been between 80-84 for so many years) kilograms to 70 (My height is 176 cm). So I changed my gym plan (mostly running because I discovered I love it, lol) a couple of months ago to add some other machines to gain muscle. Is there any food recommended to gain muscle? I heard food rich in proteines works.

I don't know if it's been already mentioned, but I wanna ask if someone here has done the Beach Body Insanity Programm?

I'm doing it right now and I'd like to hear your thoughts about it

You should eat more parts of veggies, red meat (important for muscles I guess), and fish. But you should eat a lot of cheese, that contains a lot of (good) fat stuff (the McDo is not the good fat stuff if you see what I mean).
what i read about the french way of eating, they manage to stay thin because they eat frequent small meals instead of huge american size meals. they also eat a variety of natural foods and not all the processed stuff the americans like

True. Not gonna lie, I like american size meals, but yes, in normal schedule aka not in summer time. I don't know about you guys, but in France, we looooove aperitifs Rosé wine + snack foods (so yummy ) = very popular here but soooo fattening.
Ok so in normal schedule, we have normal size meals with veggies and cooked stuff indeed... That's why I managed to lose a few pounds before seeing family and friends this summer, because at home, there is an oven and in my student room, there's not so when I tried, earlier this year, I failed... Try to follow a strict diet for a month at least with only plaques and a microwave.

Well that's quite normal. IMO it's not a proper diet Women need 1800 cal/day, men 2000 cal/day, and that if they don't exercise thatmuch. 2300 cal/day may be not enough if he is trying to gain weight AND muscles...

the one you are taking sounds like a premixed shake, so im not sure how much protein is actually in it. if you stay with using the shakes, you could try something like EAS, you can choose how much protein you want to take every day, its quite good quality and the chocolate tastes good

Could you show some pics of these snack foods, i need to see

Do you like eating boiled food? Its easy to cook that in your student room and if you dont mind eating that, it will help lose weight. Of course, not everyone will like the taste, but its a healthier way of cooking.

Well, initially, I was eating under 2000- let's say 1500. So an increase of 800 cal intake is enough for me right now. You never want to change you're diet drastically starting out, so I think 2300 is a good number. Once I make 2300 a normal routine, then I will start to focus on more muscle mass.
