Re: Lisa Raymond cheering thread - vol 2
Lisa and Rennae seem to be struggling to find form together since the AO And Lisa has a lot of points to defend in the coming weeks. C'mon ladies sort it out for Miami!

Re: Lisa Raymond cheering thread - vol 2
Well in that match they were down 0-4 in the first set and had only won 3 points . So great fight, but really they need to do well in Miami because with the upcoming clay season I don't like their chances.

Re: Lisa Raymond cheering thread - vol 2
They need to play some small tourneys in between; they're just coming out to big events with no match play and are expecting to win.

Re: Lisa Raymond cheering thread - vol 2
Rennae spoke about quality not quantity in her perspective in scheduling. While Lisa has always been the type to play a lot of matches. I think it would help to try some smaller events just to get some matches under their belts. They really need it.

Most of the time it's about quality, but in tennis you need competitive match play to stay consistent. They shouldn't go Wozniacki style but at least play more than one tournament a month. 3 months/3 tourneys is not gonna cut it especially since all of their opponents get way more singles/doubles play.

Re: Lisa Raymond cheering thread - vol 2
Monterrey would have been so good for them to play. Instead, they now have a whole week and a half to go without any matches and will very likely have another difficult 1R in Miami to play (which will be the start of Lisa's 3 RU and 3 SF run of points to defend). Not good.
Thanks for updating that Casey.
I was googling Lisa pics and found this pic of her and Amy, thought CCR would want to see it. They must have been good friends having played so long on the tour at the same time.
 I miss Amy.

Re: Lisa Raymond cheering thread - vol 2
This draw is begging for Lisa/Rennae to do well. Medina Garrigues/Wozniacki have yet to win a match together this year I believe. They really need to go deep here. Let's go Lisa/Rennae!!

Aaawl, thanks for posting . I miss Amy and her suncsreen . People made fun of her for wearing it, but you know what....at age 37 she probobly has very nice skin compared to most former tennis players her age and younger .
Thanks Dave

No problem.
I miss Amy too with her stunningly flat groundstrokes, and wouldn't change a thing about her. The sunscreen was her thing. I LOVED it when she played Sharapova in 2006(?) and walked out on Centre Court with just her handbag and 80's racquet bag with Maria of course having all the latest racquet bags and extra stuff. The commentators said Amy looked exactly the same as she had 20 years ago.

Re: Lisa Raymond cheering thread - vol 2
Looking to Miami this week, I guess in theory it's a good draw for Lisa and Rennae but they themselves have three 1R losses so they're not much better than AMG/Woz. It's seriously time to get to business now if Lisa wants to get back in the top 10 (a huge opportunity for that has just flown by these past 6 weeks ).
Good luck Lis/Rennae!
btw, it's now been 2 years and 1 month since Rennae last won a tournament.
