(3) King/Shvedova vs. BYE
Looks tricky but they're starting to gel.

Re: Lisa Raymond cheering thread - vol 2
I can't see the pic
Wow @ 71! That's alot of trophies (+ 4 singles, 4 mixed, Fed Cup medal and trophy, Hopman Cup diamond ball, and all her other college trophies and WTA awards ). I think that also breaks her 3 way tie in the all time list aswell.
The more you look at what she's done, the more you realise there is hardly anything left for her to win in doubles. That AO mixed and Olympic medal (which she said is her biggest goal now) are the only things I can think of. I'm happy if she can just get one of them.
I wasn't actually too fussed about the Olympics because it would be really hard to even get in plus this partnership with Huber wasn't exactly going smoothly. But since she mentioned on her blog how important it is to her, I really want to see her get a medal.

Re: Lisa Raymond cheering thread - vol 2
I'm just interested to see how it would play out. She would have to play next year, and Liezel is sitting good with MJF so I'm sure she'll try to get Lisa on the team. Lisa and MJF are also good friends I believe, so it shouldn't be too hard. Having Venus, Serena, Lisa, and Liezel as the squad next year would be awesome.

Re: Lisa Raymond cheering thread - vol 2
Quotes from this week
"We stuck together even after losing that first set," Raymond said afterwards. "We played well and never let up once we got our noses ahead.
"It feels great to be back in another final!"
"We played a great match against Dulko and Pennetta and were looking forward to playing the finals today," Huber said. "It has been a very enjoyable week in Toronto. We look forward to building on this title and we will keep working hard together!"
"It was definitely a very odd way to win a title, and such a big title as well, but Liezel and I have put in the time on and off the court, and it's starting to pay off," Raymond said. "Yesterday's semifinal was a big one for us to get through. We've worked really hard."
What's next for the American duo? "We're heading to Cincy tomorrow, then taking a much-needed week off before the Open," Raymond added. "We'll get some good practice in that week. Obviously our big goal for the summer is the US Open, so hopefully we can keep this up."
Found some pics from Lisa losing in the other 2 final appearances this year.
Stanford
Eastbourne

Re: Lisa Raymond cheering thread - vol 2
^^ Eastbourne?
Which means no New Haven for them, which overall is a smart thing to do. Will be weird to not see her in the draw this year.

Re: Lisa Raymond cheering thread - vol 2
I think Date-Krumm/Zhang have been replaced by Hercog/Daniilidou.

Phew. Close win against the couple.
King/Shvedova will be tough. I'll be happy with either team winning.
