Nadia lost to Safina last week 46 in the third.

This is so average. Varvs tanked the last set as she had to get to US Open qualies. Rather obvious.

Apparently Nadia didnt look interested at all.

She needs a big step up next round against Mattek or she's gonna get spanked.

Nadia has collected some good points so far this week.

If she can defend her R4 US Open points, she only has points at Beijing to defend for the rest of the year.

Top 10 is still possible if she can play well. Get a couple of good draws.

Despite the final loss, I still think Nadia is in good form. From what I saw in the final, both players were playing well. Nadia needs to take the positives from this week and move on.

She made too much unforced errors. Sometimes it was sad to watch it as a Nadia fan

If Nadia plays 3 good points, they will be followed by 3 horrible miss hits

But nevertheless, a final is still a good result

Let's be honest, Nadia needs to at least make a slam final in her career. And she is one of the best doubles players in the world. She has a partner who she has tasted success with already this season. A partner who is just a doubles player, so none of this stupid tanking nonsense like at RG with Sam.

With the Williams sisters not in the draw they have to do something here.

Huber is an American so they will have crowd support as well.
