Yes. She is a dangerous opponent and can trouble many of the top players but I just don't think she's consistent enough to win 7 matches in a row.

I certainly think she is past her peak and won't ever win a Grand Slam, yes.
But here is the significant thing, I don't see any reason why Patty herself should have to believe she is past her peak and won't ever win a Grand Slam. It is quite right that tennis players should have the ability to believe they can be the best, without that it is very hard to stay motivated to work as hard as this sport requires you do.
