Peking 2008

Wer denkt ihr hat die größten Chancen von den deutschen Damen nach Peking zu fahren? Was sind denn genau die Richtlinien, die man erfüllen muss um dabei zu sein. Ich hoffe ja auf Schruff, Kerber und Müller.

Man muss FedCup gespielt haben und Deutschland würdig vertreten. Daran wird's scheitern bei den Spezialistinnen.

Mal gucken, wie sich Lisicki so im Laufe des Jahres macht. Das könnte dann die einzige sein.

irgendwie ist das immer sehr undurchsichtig, habe mich das aber auch schon gefragt.
in sydney 2000 waren es qualifikationskriterien wie z.b. ein platz unter den ersten 70, ein grand slam-achtelfinale und ein einsatz im fed cup in der näheren vergangenheit. damals hatte sich JANA KANDARR mit erfüllung dieser kriterien für olympia qualifiziert und dort die dritte runde erreicht.

keine ahnung, inwiefern der dtb oder RITTNER da mitzureden haben...

2004 hatten BARNA und WEINGÄRTNER die kriterien angeblich erfüllt, wurden aber aufgrund der nicht zu erwartenden erfolge aber nicht vom nok nominiert, was bei ihnen und auch hier im forum für reichlich proteste sorgte.

es gibt aber auch itf-wildcards für spielerinnen (tennis-exotischerer länder oder junger talente(?)). so durften z.b. 2000 neyssa etienne (für, ich glaube, haiti) und 1996 selima sfar (war damals ungefähr #300, für tunesien) antreten. ob die titelverteidiger außerordentliches startrecht haben, weiß ich nicht.

fürs doppel ist es dann auch wohl so, dass sich das doppel einer nation (es ist wohl nur eins erlaubt und auch nur höchstens zwei einzelspieler) aus den beiden einzelspielern zusammensetzt. da gab es ja diese 2000 missstimmungen im us-team, weil die nr. 1 in der doppelwelt, LISA RAYMOND, nicht bei olympia antreten durfte, weil die williams-schwestern einzel und so auch doppel spielten (und gold holten).

für den dtb würde ich eine nominierung KERBERS, LISICKIS oder GÖRGES' für wahrscheinlich halten, vorausgesetzt alle kommen im ranking noch voran...

also sorry, kann dir auch nicht wirklich helfen... würde mich aber auch interessieren!

Die dt. Anne-Priska Schäfer schied heute unglücklich in der ersten Runde der olympischen Spiele aus.
Sie unterlag der us-amerikanischen Nachwuchshoffnung Brie Whitehead mit 6-7,7-6,10-12....

Kriterien für einen Start in Peking sind entweder
- Platz 24 in der Weltrangliste
- oder ein VF bei einem GS Turnier

Die internationalen Kriterien sehen lediglich Platz 56 der Weltrangliste vor

Also keine Deutsche in Peking am Start

Die Forderungen sind auch an andere Sportler aus anderen Sportarten hart. Warum soll es da beim Tennis eine Ausnahme geben? Wir sind kein exotischer Hottentottenstaat, die mal 4-5 "Atheleten" schicken, die dann im Schwimmbecken fast absaufen.

Und mal ehrlich - verdient hat es keine, es besteht null Aussicht auf ne Medaille.

Platz 24 muss spätestens bis nach den French Open erreicht sein!
Ein VF bei einem GS Turnier hat ja seit 2006 niemand mehr erreicht....und das VF von ALG zählt jetzt auch nicht mehr

Weil Tennis ein 1-gegen-1 Sport ist, und das kann man wohl kaum mit Schwimmen oder Leichtathletik vergleichen, da kann auch mal ein absoluter Außenseiter weit kommen. Bei den Herren vielleicht eher als bei den Damen, aber auch da. Oder wer hätte 2004 gedacht dass Alicia Molik Bronze holt?

Letztendlich verschenkt man doch nix wenn man 2-3 Spielerinnen hinschickt. Die deutsche Norm ist da völlig überzogen.

Es sollten schon gute Kriterien vorliegen, aber bei Olympia geht es doch vorallem um das Teilnehmen, um den Olympischen Geist. Und eben nicht NUR ums Gewinnen!
