Second round was pretty easy. Ana beat Trautmann 62 62. In the final qualy round she plays Golds, from Australia, ranked #565.

Ana beat Golds easily, 61 62, to qualify for the MD. Hope she gets a good draw and can win a couple of rounds, at least.

Plays Antoniychuk of Ukraine in R1. This girl is ranked 337, she's one year younger than Ana and has played finals of 25k Antalya on clay, while Ana's best results came from hardcourts or indoors - not an easy draw, hoping for the best.

Well done, Ana. She beat Antoniychuk easily, 64 61. With that win, she'll move up to a career-high ranking of around #365-370 (currently #398).

In the next round she'll probably play the top seed, Pivovarova. It's probably too much to expect Ana to win but at least she picked up five ranking points at this tournament. Also, she's not defending any points until December so she'll have many more opportunities in the next few months to keep moving up. Hopefully she'll play Zagreb next week, where there are many more points at stake.

If she loses in R2 here she most probably will, but if she gets to QF or further it's unlikely, cause she probably won't make the MD in Zagreb. In case of a MD WC it's another story, but there are many Croatian girls playing good enough at the moment to expect one.

We'll just have to wait and see.

It's not too bad a loss. Pivovarova is ranked #177 and last year was the #2 junior in the world and still Ana managed to keep it pretty close.

Ana is playing well. Best of luck to her on her next tournament.

Ana plays qualies of Zagreb 75k and her first oponent is Lenka Jurkova(SVK). Anyone knows something about this girl? Can't seem to find a single information, not even on ITF website.
