Golovin sends Warning to Cornet

3 days ago WTL number 3 Tatiana Golovin became an adult as she celebrated her 20th birthday. But something surprised Golovin more than a huge bouquet of pink roses from her boyfriend and AFL footballer Dale Thomas, but once tour star Alize Cornet.

Golovin had a special day getting lots of gifts from tour friends. From friend and glamour girl Maria Kirilenko she got a beautiful white dress along with a diamond encrusted necklace. "I'm definitely wearing that to the next player party," insisted Golovin, who was showing the necklace to the press. As well as gifts from Mathilde Johansson, Alicia Molik, Casey Dellacqua, Ana Ivanovic, the William sisters, Daniela Hantuchova and the Collingwood footy club who gave her stacks of Collingwood attire from the footy club Golovin was a lucky girl.

But she was paid a special visit by troubled star Alize Cornet with her boyfriend and ATP player Radek Stepanek. Golovin knew that it was Stepanek not her nose job troubling the 18 year old Frenchwomen. Cornet had a deep chat with Golovin telling her that Stepanek threatened to murder her if she dropped matches. Going through pain Cornet would have to agree to the tanking, as she was fighting for her life.

At today’s press conference Golovin set a warning for all WTL girls. Stay away from Radek Stepanek or your tennis career will be gone.

Star Serbs First Into Hopman Cup



The first team confirmed for the first ever Hopman Cup is Serbia, where 2 stars will challenge for this years title.

Glamour girl, Ana Ivanovic was this years Wimbledon champion and is sitting pretty at number 6 on the rankings. With a win over world number 1, Casey Dellacqua, Ivanovic blitzed the grass circuit winning 3 out of the 5 tournaments including a marathon Wimbledon win over Mathilde Johansson. With her pounding ground strokes and serve Ana looks to be a real threat at the Hopman Cup this season. Ana has had great doubles results on tour as well, taking out 2 titles with best friend Maria Kirilenko and is at number 15 on the doubles rankings while the 2 glamour girls are at number 5 in the race.



Partnering Ivanovic is good friend and ATP world number 3 Novak Djokovic who won his maiden grand slam at the Australian Open less than a week ago. Djokovic, who is ATP funny guy, has done countless imitations of WTL and ATP players including Maria Sharapova, Andy Roddick and Rafael Nadal. Novak has also reached the final at the US Open, Novak has had wins over Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal and won 8 career titles. Novak has also had experience playing for his country, put Serbia into the world group after defeating Australia in Davis Cup.



Ivanovic and Djokovic have also played mixed together before teaming up at Wimbledon but losing in round 1.

Today Ivanovic, who is in Los Angeles said this, "I'm delighted to announce that Novak and I will be competing at the inaugural Hopman Cup, it's great for the tournament of course having two superstars like ourselves in attendance, obviously having the Wimbledon champ brings a touch of class to any tournament, and we'll do Serbia proud. Novak tells me he's working on his Anabel and Poutchkova impressions and let me tell you its tough having to mimic such hideous creations, but Nole will not let the fans down."

Doubles Director : Take me back Maria

Once they were the glamour couple of the WTL but now hvae gone seperate paths, WTL doubles director, wants Maria to take him back. "I've struggled to sleep at night when your not there," the 24 year old ex-model said "Please give me a chance Maria, your the most beautiful thing on this earth," he said. "If you could give me another chance, you would never regret it."

Breaking News! US Weekly is reporting that Top 10 star Maria Kirilenko and the WTL Doubles Director may be giving it another go!

The Russian Beauty was seen holding a bouquet of Roses and leaving "LA SoCo", Los Angeles' most expensive restaurant late tonight with the WTL's Doubles Director.

This development comes on the heels of the public plea from the Doubles Director to take Maria back. As you might recall, Kirilenko left the Director earlier this year and has been rumored to be seeing Juan Carlos Ferrero, Marat Safin and fellow Glamour Girl Ana Ivanovic, amongst others.

MK: Hmm, I'd have to say Tatiana Golovin. Great girl, and she has a really nice game. We always seem to bring the best out of each other and have split many matches in our rivalry.

Q. Which is the toughest match you have ever played?

MK: No question, the Roland Garros Quarterfinal! I really escaped in that one, it was incredible, I won 17-15 in the third, just really, really great tennis from both Tatiana and I.

And you know, maybe today against AMG. It's always tough playing against someone who cheats.
