Re: Patrycja SANDUSKA picture thread
Patrycja Sanduska won Sunday Open GDF SUEZ 3rd in Clermont-Auvergne. The Pole gaint victory in the final against the French Audrey Bergot (7-6 (3), 6-1)who won in doubles pairing Andrea Ka.
Having changed the surface from the dirt of Saint-Malo to the hard surface of Clermont in a few days, Patrycja Sanduska has made the transition successfully. The Polish girl, who will turn 23 next November 25th, was awarded the third edition of the Open GDF SUEZ Clermont-Auvergne. "I am very happy to have won this tournament, she said after her victory. I have not really had a problem to switch from clay to hard. The hardest part has been to confront the French in the final because she had the entire audience for it. I tried to stay focused throughout the match and it went well. "Having defeated Andrea Ka, Jessica Ginier, Alina Baronova and Irina Ramialison, Sanduska dominated the final Audrey Bergot. The French had yet the cards in the first set, leading 4-1 and then 6-5 on serve before losing the tiebreak. The second set was a formality for the Polish woman who succeeds in Clermont Karla Marz and Ksenia Lykina.
Winner this year in singles and doubles in the 13th Open GDF SUEZ Contamines-Montjoie, semi-finalist in Dijon and Lyon, Patrycja Sanduska achieves the best season of her young career. " Last year, I could not play as much as I wanted due to financial reasons, she said. This season, things have improved a little and I had more opportunity to defend my chances on the professional circuit. "Ranked 886th in the beginning of this year, very tall and very slim player incorporated a week ago the top 400 for the first time in her career. She's closer and closer to the best Polish players represented by the Radwanska Sisters and Marta Domachowska.
Indefatigable player on the baseline, Sanduska has the distinction of training within our borders. "I arrived to France last year but I couldn't find a place to train, she says. This is only three months that I live in Beaulieu-sur-Mer, near Nice, and I love to prepare to my tournaments there. The city is wonderful. I have coaches to work and grow. This is the club for which I will play again next year. "Lover of France, she has strong ties to England, where her parents live. However, Patrycja Sanduska does not forget her roots and feels strongly Polish. Happy in his season, the resident of Beaulieu-sur-Mer does not stop her road.
Titles won by Patrycja Sanduska:
SINGLES
2009 - Les Contamines 25k
2009 - Clermont-Ferrand 10k
DOUBLES
2007 - Redding 10k (with Naomi Broady)
2009 - Les Contamines 25k (with Laura Andrei)

Re: Patrycja SANDUSKA picture thread
Such a nice article! I'm very glad that she gets a recognition she deserves and I hope I'll find some time to go to Opole if she's gonna be there.

Re: Patrycja SANDUSKA picture thread
Patrycja in qualies of Joue-les-Tours:
Alina Baronova (UZB) v (wc)Myrtille Georges (FRA)
(5)Iryna Kuryanovich (BLR) v Patrycja Sanduska (POL)
Seems like a very tough opponent in 1R 23-4 ratio this year and lost only to very solid players: Feuerstein, Vakulenko, Fernandez-Brugues, Ciorgi...
well, GL!
Nice Q2R on the other hand...
EDIT: Kuryanovich def. Sanduska 76 63
Expected, but quite a nice scoreline. Especially given the fact that Kuryanovich defeat (3) Jurak in 3QR 6-0 6-0 and then Chaknashvili in 1R 6-0 6-1

Re: Patrycja SANDUSKA picture thread
Patrycja withdrew from 25k Istanbul. But still will play 50k Saint-Raphael which is very close to Belieau-sur-Mer where she trains.
BTW, Kuryanovich took a set from Dokic today. She's really on fire.

Re: Patrycja SANDUSKA picture thread
Sanduska in Saint-Raphael quallies:
(1)Maria Irigoyen (ARG) v Elixane Lechemia (FRA)
Patrycja Sanduska (POL) v Katell Lechevaistrier (FRA)
Irigoyen should be beatable. She is a clay-court specialist.

Re: Patrycja SANDUSKA picture thread
Patrycja was unlucky to draw Kurianowicz, but good she tries in bigger tournaments. Good luck in Saint-Raphael.

Re: Patrycja SANDUSKA picture thread
that's a really bad luck Baltacha is top100 now, has just won 75k and has had only 1 bad lose in a few months to Lindsey Nelson.
Patrycja won't play until Wednesday. Anyway, fingers crossed!
