Maria played really well throughout the tournament..so she really deserves the trophy....if she continues to play like this she'll dominate women's tennis 
eventhough i'm not a fan of her..congratulations masha & to all your supporters! |

The best part is that it shut up Bijoux, Doni and Marshmallow--at least for a day or two.

Really proud of Maria for fighting her way to the title this year . After last year it's great to see her put it all behind her and start the year fresh with the 1st slam of the season . Hoping for a happy and healthy '08

WHAT A DAY!
I'm so proud of Maria. She really came back in a strong way, after a not easy season in 2007 and captured her 3rd Grand Slam title at the Aussie Open. She showed that she is still one of the best and i think for now she is the best female tennis player in the world. I think no one really expected this in the beginning of the tournament. Everyone i talked to said, QF then Justine sends her home. Even i had doubts in the beginning.
But Maria did get better and better with every round she played and i think the key was the upset of Justine. There she showed us all, that the 3:24h match at the SEC was no miracle. I think right now Maria and Justine should be the ones to fight for the #1, but be aware of Ana, she will become one of the great ones...
But once again, it's Maria's party and i hope you all enjoy it like me!!!
