Daria playing juniors AGAIN at Wimbledon. I just don't understand the logic at all. She's finally starting to make progress, had a great week in Holland, and now she's back to junior tennis.

I don't understand it, either. She should play one of the European 25ks this week. A good showing would place her at the cusp of #200. She should be working to get to US Open qualies.

Daria playing doubles with Elina Svitolina, pretty much the only other acomplished junior of their age group still playing there.
Was kind of hoping she'd have just gone home to train or tried to get a WC into some ITF, but there you go..

It's time for Daria to concentrate on the pro's and making her way up the rankings the rest of 2012. She has 4 months left this season so she needs to keep rising in the rankings even if it's at a slow pace.

Daria and Elina into the doubles SF, beating Kontaviett & De Vroome in the QF 6-4, 2-6, [10-8]...
Does a career in doubles bode for her? Meh, would still rather her have tried her hand in some ITF.

She withdrew from all ITF's for the next couple of weeks.. Hope there's nothing wrong and that she's just taking a few weeks off. She's been a bit of a tournament whore after starting her year late.

Daria showed up in $75k Beijing.. Surprised to see her there to be honest. I don't recall the last time she played outside of Europe. She has a tough game against the returning Ksenia Lykina in R1 though..
