Only 6/8 had been handed out when it was announced, no idea who picked the other two Maindraw wildcards but best guess is it was one of the scouts who saw her play in Memphis.

As of April 1, Michael Schaepers, Amsterdam based former ATP Player, will increase his time commitment to Marina to be available on a full time basis for remainder of 2008.  |

she's a new zealander, and it's an american tournament, it's random , it's not like she's a huge star on a comeback or something and going to pull in the crowds
