Re: Arantxa Rus

Aran just keeps on winning

Who would have thought someone would say that in 2013 about her

Great win

Good win against Pereira who is also doing well in the 25k's these weeks
This was a nice test

Re: Arantxa Rus

YAY
I would say surprisingly close but all of these wins are amazing
So great to see her coming back
It's a shame that Pereira got player of the Month on ITF
She must be very happy The tournament's not done yet though I wonder what Pereira had to say

Arantxa coming back strong

She needs a bit of rest now, played many matches the past few weeks. But she is certain of AO Q now so she can relax a little

So happy for her. Now the real test begins... A hardcourt 50K. (October 28)

Re: Arantxa Rus

Yeah, she is going to Taipei

She is playing the 50k there and I am pretty sure she will play WTA 125k Taipei too, it would be a bit much to go all the way to Taipei for 1 tourney.

Re: Arantxa Rus

Great to see what has happened over the past few weeks. I'm glad she has been able to go down to the 25ks and do so well. After the poor run, it was hard to see this coming. Hopefully things continue to go well and the ranking keeps improving. Good that she'll be able to get into the Australian Open qualifiers. Overall, she's doing great and let's hope she can step up a level in competition and be able to compete.

YAYAYAYAYAYAY Aranxta
Great to see her playing some if not good, solid tennis I am still sure she is going to have to up her level to do well in the Taiwan tournaments but as long as she is confident, there is no reason why she can't go deep in both

Based on preferences she may steal a seeding, but she will most likely not Still, it's all good experience Does she have to play Qualies for the 125K?

Re: Arantxa Rus

Aran indeed confirmed she is playing the WTA 125k as well, as I had predicted

Those will be her last 2 tournaments of the year

Re: Arantxa Rus

What a match against Wen-Hsin Hsu.
Could make a double break in the third set. She didn't. Aran lost 4 games in a row to 3-5. Rus came back to 6-5 but did not end the match on their own serve.
Tie-break. Rus was 0-6 down, but she won 8-6 :P

Re: Arantxa Rus

Won 6-4, 6-1 against Katherine Ip in the first round.

Plays Wen-Hsin Hsu in the second round today as well as the first round of the doubles.

Edit: was posting that at the same time as Borisz. Wasn't sure what time the match against Hsu was. Good news.

Re: Arantxa Rus

I saw she was down 0-5 and couldn't bear it any more
This is an amazing comeback especially as she must have lost to much confidence
And LEL at the amount of choking by Win-Hsen

Great performance. I'm very happy for her that she could recover so well after her fall down in the ranking.
