Just give the American team its just due ys! But you won't. Not even 22 years later!  The American team was better that night because their Goaltender outplayed the Soviet Goalie. That's hockey! And you know that.

bad luck but katia must have been playing pretty well to take an in-form razzano to 3 sets a top 70 player.
that second set score is surprising. 6-2 is a very positive sign for katia. at the age she is she can already compete with top 70 players and give them a good thrashing

she won her first 2 matches in the miami pre-qualifying event.
1st round: Katia Afinogenova d. Caren Seenauth 6-2 6-0
2nd round: Katia Afinogenova d. Lioudmila Skavronskia 6-4 6-2
3rd round she faces Julie Ditty.
