Zurich Open 2007
Here is the main draw :
Justine Henin BEL [1] has a BYE
[Q] vs Vera Zvonareva RUS
[Q] vs Shahar Peer ISR
Dinara Safina RUS vs Daniela Hantuchova SVK [7]
Jelena Janković SRB [3] has a BYE
Nicole Vaidisova CZE vs Katarina Srebotnik SLO
Alona Bondarenko UKR vs Timea Bacsinszky SUI [WC]
Marion Bartoli FRA vs Amelie Mauresmo FRA [8]
Ana Ivanović SRB [5] vs [Q]
Sania Mirza IND vs Michaella Krajicek NED [WC]
Maria Kirilenko [WC] vs Tatiana Golovin FRA
Maria Sharapova RUS [4] has a BYE
Serena Williams USA [6] vs Patty Schnyder SUI
Elena Dementieva RUS vs Francesca Schiavone ITA
Sybille Bammer AUT vs [Q]
Svetlana Kuznetsova RUS [2] has a BYE
There isn't an easy draw but Maria Sharapova is not in a great shape so if she can win against Golovin everything is possible.
Davai Maria

Re: Zurich Open 2007
I don't think many believe she can beat Tati but it's really not impossible. Good luck Maria just please play the best you can. All my faves in the same section

Re: Zurich Open 2007
Makiri should be well rested by now since she had early exits in the two recent tourneys (Kremlin Cup & Japan). Her batteries should be fully recharged and I think she's eager to prove that the finals in Kolkata & Hansol weren't flukes. If Makiri can keep her winning form in the aforementioned tourneys, she's got a winning chance against Tati. A Big Masha vs. Little Masha match would be greatly anticipated! Good luck Makiri! Go for your shots, play each point as a match point, NEVER accept defeat, and FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT!

Re: Zurich Open 2007
Very interesting first round matchup for Makiri against Tati. I hope that she`ll regain the good form she showed over in Asia recently.

Re: Zurich Open 2007
No reason why she can't beat Golovin. Should be a close match.
I hope the court is faster than the one in Moscow. Msha will prefer that.

Re: Zurich Open 2007
If she's able to beat Tati, Ana Ivanovic awaits since Sharapova withdrew. Good luck Masha

Re: Zurich Open 2007
It's very disappointing to see Masha lose 4 matches in a row. However Golovin has had some good results of late, so I'm not going overboard on her.
I followed the match and the scores suggested she played better as the match went on. She really needs to start matches all guns blazing. It's no good finding your feet in the 2nd set against a top player.
