Re: Sally Peers
Sally gets her 1st win of the year!
Defeated Alyssa Grace Smith 7-5 6-2. This is the same girl that beat Isabel Holland last year in straight sets on the way to Q/F of $10K Evansville, so at least we know Sally hasn't sunk that low! LOL
It will be a big confidence booster for her, but next match will be tougher though

Re: Sally Peers
Yeah true. Anyway, lost 3 & 2 in her next match.
Keep plugging away I guess. But maybe time to drop down to $10K level. At least some wins there will earn her a few points, unlike losing in $25K qualies.

Re: Sally Peers
At least she will get a few easy matches, gain some more confidence. Its a pretty weak draw anyway, she's the 6th seed!

After a first round bye, Sally lost in the second round
The scrub who beat her then lost in the next round to an unranked 17 yo American, who has a career high junior ranking of outside the top 500.
Not ideal.

Re: Sally Peers
Fantastic 62 62 win for Sally over 5th seed Luangnam today in Ipswich
Very surprised by the result considering it's hard court this year.
Hope this is the start of something good.

Re: Sally Peers
Good win there for Sally and very convincing score line. I am hoping her American sojourn served her well.
