Ekaterine Gorgodze (GEO)
I think Eka deserves a cheering thread, she's noy even 16 yet and has just defended her 25K Quarterfinal at Batumi where she reached last year as a 14 year old WC 
Career Highlights:
#1 U16
On The Circuit:
Final at ITF Tbilisi 2006(Her first ever INTERNATIONAL tournament, including U18 Juniors. l to Galanina
Quarter-Final at 25K Batumi 2006 -> Beat top500 Stella en route, l to Rakhim.
Quarterfinal - 25K Batumi 2007 - Beat Avdiyenko and Rodionova, plays Doernemann !

Great results from Ekaterine! She has been very impressive on the ITF circuit, she is not the most famous 1991 girl due to a lack of play on the junior competition, but she indeed deserves some support!

Ekaterine is playing in Bradenton for the prestigious Eddie Herr Championships  (Grade 1).
She won her first Q match against Nadja Gilchrist 26 63 64 . Second round against Naseem Eslami (WC). Shouldn't be a problem  .

She won her 2nd round match easily, 62 63  Next up is Alexander, who should be an easy opponent since she struggled in both of her Qualifying Matches
