Sveta should be confident here, following recent results in New York and Moscow. I hope so. And as top seed, hopefully she WILL win this tournament.
However, I note several top-quality players in the draw, like Mauresmo, Hingis and Jankovic, so Sveta had better play well. Good luck, GO SVETA!!

I think someone else wrote this before, but I also agree that the
US Open final has given Sveta more confidence. I think it may have
been an eye opener for her, to realize that she could have been
RIGHT THERE with Henin in that final, if she had been playing her
game.
I also read that Sveta is going to be playing doubles w/ Mauresmo
in Beijing.

Im glad she pulled out, its a shame she hasn't been able to defend her two titles from last year in Bali and Beijing, but ive just watched the fed cup final and especially in her match vs Schiavone you can see that she can hardly serve, its an injury shes had for a long time so i hope she takes a good rest so it can heal. Sveta
