The best Grand Slam title wins this Century
By best I mean beating the top seeds enroute to the title...i.e. Serena Williams 05 A.O.

mary pierce 2000 french open! mary on fire and i think she beat the number 1, 3 and 5 seeds go mary sweetest moment this century for me!

Graf beat an on-form Kournikova, #2 Davenport, #3 Seles then #1 Hingis in the finals. Only player to have beaten the top 3 seeds in a Grandslam (I believe).

america - serena 7, venus 6, davenport 1, capriati 3,
belgian - henin 6, clijsters 1,
russia - sharapova 2, myskina 1, kuznetsova 1,
france - mauresmo 2, pierce 1,
31 slams and counting!

Serena AO 2003, she beat Venus and Kim the 2 best players in the world at the time and into the bargain it was the most significant win in womens tennis in many years.

Serena beating Sharapova at the Aussie Open.
Serena battled unseeded through quite a tough draw to win.

Only 27 Slams have been played in this century as of now. The fact that some people still think 2000 was the first year of this century never cease to amaze me.
