2007 US Open in Flushing Meadows
Anna heads to NY as world #6, a big forword move from last year.

Re: 2007 US Open in Flushing Meadows
What result will make Anna fans happy?
I'm expecting QF...anything lower than that would be disappointing..
Hopefully, she can break through and make it to SF!

Re: 2007 US Open in Flushing Meadows
I'd like to see Anna get further than a QF. That will be difficult. But it will be an important step forward.

Re: 2007 US Open in Flushing Meadows
I expect the SF for Anna, this is his favourite Slam Tournament and also in the past she plays well here.

Re: 2007 US Open in Flushing Meadows
Anna has been seriously gearing herself up to do well at her favorite Slam. I'm not sure she'll be satisfied with a QF, she wants a semi. Of course she needs a reasonable draw.
Shame she's been sidelined with the virus. She had a chance to get a placing in the US Open Series. My only worry would be that now she's having a long lay-off she will lose some of her momentum. On the other hand if she does get to the latter stages she won't be suffering from exhaustion which has cost her a few times already this year.

Re: 2007 US Open in Flushing Meadows
Anna didn't play her best in Vermont or Cincy. She started playing well in California.
So she might need a soft early draw to get her form back after 24 days with just the Razzano loss.

Re: 2007 US Open in Flushing Meadows
I think she will be okay to make the quarterfinals if Venus isn't in her draw.
I'm looking forward to seeing Anna play when I go there during the middle weekend. I'll try to get reports and pictures for you guys.

Re: 2007 US Open in Flushing Meadows
I would like a semi-final from Anna. I'm sick of her just making it to the QFs. She needs to take the next step up the ladder.

Re: 2007 US Open in Flushing Meadows
Here is another question for "A Chak" fanatics.
Who do you fear most in the upcoming USO draw?
I think Serena, Maria, and Justine are definite road blocks...I would really rather Anna not see them.
Against anyone else, I like Anna's chances!
So who would you add/subtract from this list?

Re: 2007 US Open in Flushing Meadows
The only player that I will see in the opposite part of the Draw is Henin.
Then Sharapova, because of this bad record of Anna, I don't know if Serena in this moment is so dangerous, maybe is better she lost in the first Rounds.
My favourite opponents for Anna in the 1-8 seeds are Petrova and Ivanovic.
