Jelena, Bravo! This is the higer position for her since she start to play. Lets hope she will be in AO 2008. and by the end of next year in Top 100!

there's two more itf events in the states after the one in georgia...hopefully jelena can at least get into the mid-200s...that will give her a shot of making AO qualies

I don't see Jelena in the draw in Augusta.  But she's on the qualy entry list for the Pittsburgh 75K in two weeks; I hope she'll play. |

Yep, hopefully she'll play in Pittsburgh and do well. I was surprised not to see her in Augusta, but the rest is probably good for her. Come back strong in the next event!

Jelena is still confirmed to play Pittsburgh qualis and is the 22nd alternate for San Diego the week after. She has a good shot at getting into at least the qualis there b/c I think a lot of the players will withdraw.

jelena qualified for pittsburgh...only lost 4 games per match in her three qualie matches
she got a bad draw though...de los rios in the first round

still a chance to make AO qualies (the cut-off usually ends up being in the mid 200s)

unofficially, she won 6-4 7-6!!!!!
hope it's true, if it is, she'll be around 260 in the rankings and only a few wins away from a good chance of making the AO qualy draw after withdrawls
i think this means she has an SE into the event next week which means no qualifying
