she had bps in that second set, but couldn't break through and then she fell apart

Wow, very disappointing score. I didn't necessarily expect Jelena to win but I thought she would make it close. Oh, well, at least it was a breakthrough for her to qualify for the MD in her very first WTA tournament. Also, she managed to pick up a few ranking points.

Better luck in your next tournament, Jelena!

Jelena is currently at home in Leverkusen, Germany, where her father lives. She played today in the local league and beat a local girl 6-3 6-1. She is allright, has no tapes and even played the doubles with Freye (a girl that was in the AO doubz QF before) and won 6-2 6-0 against unknown girls.
She hits flat like pancake and has a good footwork. She was smiling a lot and chatted with many persons she knew from her youth (she was practicing here before she went to the USA). She told a guy that she is planning to play a tournament in Europe (I didn't get which one) and she wants to play French Open Qualies.
She's such a sweet girl. Speaks german fluently
