She won in the 1st round of $10,000 Mazatlan in Mexico.
Defeated WC OLMOS, Giuliana (USA) 6-2 6-4 who has no ranking.

Indire has won her first- and second-round matches at this week's $10k in Mexico in straight sets:

Realistically, this is where it stops for Indire at this tournament, as her next match will be very tough--it's against the top seed, Frederica Piedade, who's in the top 300 and has been ranked in the top 150 before. Nevertheless, with this result Indire will have a new career-high ranking of around 555 when the May 5 rankings come out. Congratulations!!!
Next week she's scheduled to play in the $25k in Mexico. Right now she's first on the qualy list so she'll probably be able to make it into the main draw. Hopefully she'll get a good draw and be able to win another match or two. Go, Indire!!!

Yesterday she had a really good match, high quality.. She lost 63 76(1) but she had 5:2 in 2nd set and 5 set points...
Yakimova(3) def. Akiki 63 76 
And doubles were good as well be she had crapy partner and lost 10:8 in third set.

Indire is seeded #6 at this week's $10K in Vinkovci. In the first round she plays a qualifier, fellow Croat Matea Cutura. Indire recently turned 17 but Matea is even younger--she's still just 14! She had never won a professional match until this week, when she won to qualify.
Indire will be the heavy favorite but it'll be interesting to see where Matea's career goes from here.
