She surely played one of her best matches in career, but had no luck in the final games in the match
However she'll move to #327-#328 in the rankings in two weeks.

R1: Tsvetana Pironkova def. Pauline Parmentier 6-4 3-6 6-3

Really tough and intense match. I just thought Tsveti will lose that match. She won the first set quite easily without being broken and winning her serves easily. The second set was quite the opposite. Tsveti's first serve was 30 % in that set and she lost 4 games in a row leading with a break 3-2. The third set was a revenge for the second in which the french was leading with 3-2 with a break and then Tsveti won 4 games in row herself. Good Luck in the second round now vs Niculescu. Haideeeee.

Explain to me - how could she act as a pusher against a pusher?!She was outpushed all the time!What was this senseless tactics from her?I suppose she's the only top 50 player who always has difficulties against pushers!

New coaching ... She needs it - at least for this!But I've read some comment in Bulgaria "from a friend of hers" that she's happy with her current status - with her beloved boyfriend and united family.And whatever she does in tournaments is just an addition to this perfect harmony.Thinking of her interviews I pretty much believe this.

Next is Fed Cup and then Paris, I think.She has slight chances to be seeded there.Cause she's now 9th or 10th in the list, but new Paris Indoors Chief Amelie Mauresmo (

) aims at attracting more top players and Justine and Kim immediately responsed.

Truly depressing match to watch. I thought Niculescu may have to retire at 5-4 in the first set as she seemed to be having some weird breathing problems/chest pains and had an injury timeout. But she just continued to slice and float balls down the middle and wait for Tsvetana to hit the ball out.

I played a match like this at the local club last year -- opponent just kept getting the ball back using slices and lobs -- I couldn't get it past him. Then I tried to play his game. Same result as Tsveti, very frustrating.
