I remembered that when on grass tournaments Eastbourne, SF were yayuk Basuki, Steffu Graf, Irian Sprilea....they shared SF points and SF prize money...I know it is sad though

Kaz - That is my impression of what happens...they split the difference between the points and the prize-money.

I think you are NOT correct..
Just look at WTATOUR under ranking rules..it is said that if tournament is officially terminated and final is not completed so the player will be given Finalist price money and points and the rest of money will be given back to tournaments
