I haven't watched any of the above matches, though.

But I can remember her playing Suarez Navarro in Barcelona last year and the match was pretty similar with her leading by a break in the first set just to let it go afterwards without any obvious reason. To me it seemed that day if she just had lost all her focus and stability from one moment to another.
However, this was even before her successful Brussels run.

I don't know, but I'm quite concerned because this is the way it started with Dulgheru as well.

I watched the match and she didn't look tired. She just didn't manage to outhit Sloane AT ALL and couldn't finish a single point when she had the chance.

Which matches with my impression of the Barcelona match last year just losing focus all of a sudden. I guess it's a mix between mental and physical problems that come together for her a times.

Horbart is luckily uploading the matches played on CC in full length. I will have a look at it.

She isn't by far the only Romanian tennis player who is struggling with mental aspects. I'm not talking about choking here, it's just the way to get into and behave during matches.
Cîrstea is just rushing everything and doesn't give a fuck about the result, Simona has huge problems to motivate herself from being down and keeping up her focus and Irina-Camelia is just all over the place in every aspect of the game. What a shame.

Hi everybody, I have to say I liked the way she played the first set to Sloan, She was courageous, she took some risks, looked for the lines,she moved to Sloan, sometimes she failed but other she won, she lost the first set for a litle hits that failed but at least she wasn´t running all the time like a rabbit. Of course the second set was awfull, I couldn´t watch it. I think now she has to solve the mental problem to not give up, and to keep calm and take advantage of service points, break points, for it is a mental problem.

Yeah, I agree, she fought quite hard in set 1 and she wasn't that far.

Not really exactly. She gives up after she loses a closed first set, in witch she has her chances (missed of course) to win it. There are more chances for a come back if she's lost first set easily than after a first tight set.
