Mal ganz nebenbei, das Video, das mk hinten eingestellt hat, zeigt einen der wenigen Siege, die BB gegen Agassi je errungen hat. Der lag unserem Boris mit seiner Spielweise so ganz und gar nicht.

Becker war ein Held! Große Champions ticken eben anders und viele von ihnen fangen nach der Karriere an, großen Schwachsinn zu reden. Das ist für mich aber überhaupt kein Problem.

Seine wirren Äußerungen und Geschichten (Besenkammer etc.) finde ich allenfalls unterhaltsam.

Das vergessen eben die meisten. Becker war es, der dafür sorgte, dass Tennis in Deutschland bis auf Augenhöhe mit dem Fußball kam.

Mit dem Video wollte ich auch nur zeigen, welche Stimmung damals gerade bei Davis Cup Matches herrschte. Im Fed Cup (damals Federation Cup) ging das wegen dem Modus ja gar nicht.


Noch was von damals passend zum Thread-Thema



Das Video vom Sieg 1987 stammt aus der letzten Fed Cup Übertragung, die live im ZDF lief. Das war 1997 in Frankfurt gegen Kroatien. Im Original hat es damals die ARD am späten Abend 1987 natürlich live gezeigt.

Das stimmt, seine sportlichen Leistungen darf man nicht kleinreden. Aber an ihm und Graf sieht man eben auch schön die Wertigkeit der beiden Geschlechter, wobei wir da heute vielleicht ein bisschen weiter sind.
