Yes, she's doing fine. Next week she should be inside 330, and if she does well (say, qualifies and wins a round) in Cali, she could come very close to top300 (maybe 2-3 spots outside). That would be really nice, but it would take a bit of luck with the draw to achieve. Hope she gets ready for the clay
Great news! I was wondering where she was. This'll be Jasmina's thrid atempt at tour-level events, in Miami '07 she lost in QR1, in Istanbul last year in QR2, so let's hope the third time is lucky. I haven't seen the draw but I assume it's not very strong (I mean, Asia, this time of year...), so it's a great chance to get some nice points.
First set is here, 6:2*, apart from occassional troubles with serve (4 df's), it went fine. First serve at 52%, winning about the same percentage on serve and on return (around 60% each) saved 2/3 bp's, won 3/5, as well as 32 out of 53 total points. Keep it going!
Jasmina breaks for the 3rd time in this set to go *4:1 up, but things are not as good as they seem. Beside getting broken once, she wasted 5 bp's, and they've already played over 50 points in this set (Jasmina winning just a bit more of them).
6:2, 6:1...but far from easy if you were following live-scores. I hope she can get her game to another level against K. Kucova, cause I'm not sure this kind of performance is going to cut it. Sure, Kucova isn't exactly in the form of her life, and the stats of her match against Jones don't look impressive at all, but she's still much more experienced which is a big plus.
