Re: **Jasmina Tinjic Chearing Thread**
Don't get why she only plays 100k, she could/should be playing zagreb this week.

Me either. It's part of why I find her career to be a mystery.

Re: **Jasmina Tinjic Chearing Thread**
Well if she can string a few wins there it's better that she plays the strongest tournaments possible. In the short run smaller tournaments would do more for her ranking, allowing her to climb faster, but playing in larger events and winning matches there will surely give her more confidence and experience, especially those matches against women who were once close to the top.
Once upon a time we were complaining about the same things with Lucic (why she insists on playing larger events when there are smaller ones not too far away), but now her choices seem reasonable. Looks like Jasmina is focusing on the bigger picture and long term achievements, and hopefully things will turn out just fine

Won 0 and 1, next is Velieva. Jasmina really shouldn't blow this chance, she's a clear favorite to win.

Re: **Jasmina Tinjic Chearing Thread**
By the way, the two seeds in Jasmina's qualifying section (#3 PASHKOVA and #8 BURGIC) both lost today. This is an excellent chance for Jasmina to qualify for yet another $100K.

Re: **Jasmina Tinjic Chearing Thread**
Jasmina is not far from her best ever ranking this week at 494 (a nice jump from 620 just two weeks ago)!

Re: **Jasmina Tinjic Chearing Thread**
This week in Sofia, Tinjic qualified for yet another $100K/$100K+
QR1: Jasmina TINJIC (CRO) defeated Ani VANGELOVA (BUL) 6-0 6-1
QR2: Jasmina TINJIC (CRO) defeated Huliya VELIEVA (BUL) 6-2 6-2
FQR: Jasmina TINJIC (CRO) defeated (3) Alexandra CADANTU (ROU) 6-2 5-7 7-6
In MDR1, she plays Laura Thorpe. Good luck, Jasmina!

Re: **Jasmina Tinjic Chearing Thread**
This means another 7 points (she lost in QR1 here last year) and a jump of at least some 30 spots next week. I'm not really expecting anything against Thorpe, this girl is a top200 currently close to her career-high ranking, so it would be a bit much to expect a win from Jasmina (although a battle would be nice). Thorpe played a QF of a 100k last week, won a quali round at the USO, played semis of a 50k before that...
Good luck Jasmina
P. S. I heard there's streaming from the Sofia tournament, true? Would be nice to see Jasmina play here.

Re: **Jasmina Tinjic Chearing Thread**
She won 7:6, 7:5 Jasmina is on fire This is a really worthy win, well done girl! In R2 she'll play the 2nd seed Garbin - now that would really be too much if she'd win, but the way she keeps surprising us lately... Jokes aside, she's done more than enough here, with 24 points that she's sure to get, her ranking will rise to about 410!
Great job Jasmina
