Ai's new partner: who?
In case you haven't visited WTAWorld in the past few days , Ai broke up with Dani.
Who do you think she'll try to pair with now??
I hope it's someone good and that they do super well together
But seriously - I was thinking King or Stubbs, but they found success together this week so probably not LOL. Some have mentionned Husarova, Hingis & Petrova but the latter two are mostly singles players so they probably wouldn't go for it. Molik would be nice, but she's on the way back up and I don't know if she'd go for a permanent pairing Zvonareva, Tu, Dulko & Kirilenko are all good doubles players too.
I'd love Sugiyama/Zheng, but I don't see it happening
A good partner is on the market... now I wonder who will pair with her We might see a taste at Dubai?

Re: Ai's new partner: who?
Maybe Chan! She's a really good doubles player I hear through the grapevine (I so want to watch the 2007 AO Final but I can't find it )

Re: Ai's new partner: who?
Husarova & Peschke are in the Paris draw, though. Hm....
I'm actually really intrigued about this whole business. Ai might have trouble finding a permanent doubles partner

Re: Ai's new partner: who?
I can't think of anyone
Well... hmm... maybe Safina (I don't know who she plays with) but she has the firepower and consistency. Petrova would be a good partner too.

Re: Ai's new partner: who?
Ai made a comment about the next partner before... she said she'd like to have a good result at the olympics... so she was considering paring up with another japanese player. media was assuming ayumi... but not sure how many pro tournaments she can play at her age now...
maybe once rika comes back to tour... possible.
if not with japanese, she has considered pairing up with, from what i remember:
pierce (she got injured)
molik (she got disease)
hingis
mauresmo (she got injured)
shaughnessey (they played a few, i think)
but these are from a while ago...

Re: Ai's new partner: who?
Fujiyama
But would Rika play the same events as Ai?
Molik & Sugi played in Beijing... they lost to Laine and some other girl.
But hm.... It'll be interesting to see. Might we see her play doubles in Dubai?

I don't which other Japanese player would be good enough, Rika's a great dubs pllayer but she won't be in form or playing for a while it seems. Akiko and Aiko arent great in doubles and AYumi isn't reanked high enough yet...
pierce (she got injured)
molik (she got disease)
hingis
mauresmo (she got injured)
shaughnessey (they played a few, i think)
Any of those would be good, can't see Hingis happening...they play too similarly.
