Serena beating Kim after being down 1-5 in the final set to save the Serena Slam. Her saved match points against Sharapova were great, but that Kim match was just

remember that blister?!?

WOW! Kandarr was a fighter... LOL

Memory for me was CAPRIATI defeating HINGIS in 2001 and after she won the camera was real close and she was on the phone to her brother or someone and said "Can you FUCKING believe!".. Oh i fucking love Jen!

Re: Pre Oz Open:Flashbacks(fav moments, memories or matches)

The Australian Open has been the site of so many amazing matches and comebacks, I guess as it's the beginning of the year the players are all really optimistic and refreshed and have not been jaded by bad losses yet, and their play shows it.

Off the top of my head, my favourite Australian Open memories:

Monica Seles winning in 1996, her only post-stabbing GS.

Martina Hingis's incredible run from 1997-1999 in both singles and doubles, which included some amazing matches. Even after she was beaten in 2000, she still always played inspired tennis in Melbourne - 2001 was the only time she beat both Williams sisters in a single tournament, probably the best she ever played.

Jennifer Capriati's run to the 2001 title. Beating Seles, Davenport and Hingis to finally fulfil her destiny a decade after her debut and years after her teenage hell.....

Patty Schnyder's first GS semifinal after god knows how many tries. And didn't Dechy make her first the same year, and they both got to 7-5 in the third??

Monica Seles's defeat of Steffi Graf in the 1999 QF. Her first win over Steffi since 1993, and her only defeat of her after the attack.

Sania Mirza's debut, when she made the fourth round. It's a pity that her subsequent results were dissapointing, but it was great to see a player emerge from India...
