I saw a couple of Oprandi's matches on TV last year when she had that great run to the quarters in Rome. (as a qualifier). She lost to kuznetsova. That was a great matchfor excitment, if not quality It went to a tiebreak in the third.
She plays a lot of drop shots, and moves quite well when You consider her size. I have never seen a player use as many drop shot as she does.

Drop shots are often tricky to handle if they are utilized properly. And they are more so effective when utilized against an opponent who doesn't have a good physical conditioning, like Sania. But I hope Sania would dominate the rest of the game to nullify that aspect.

Fitness is by no means Sania's speciality, but she's improving in that category. She looks a lot fitter than she has in the past.

she is from italy and has been ranked as high as 48 in sep 06 she did made kuzi work hard and lost the match in 3 sets in a tier1 event as a qualifier.Recently she lost her singles first round match in ASB classic in 2 sets,
so hopefully $ania must demolish her...

yeah off late wid heath mathews she is working very hard she said in her interview that though her holiday has been spoiled but she is more than happy to c her fitness improving a lot.

If Oprandi is a retriever and gives moonballs then she will be a problem. otherwise if sania is confident she will win in 2 sets. c'mon sania. sania's fitness is definitely improving.
