I purchased some DVD-Rs and apparently my DVD player doesn't support DVDr's as it keeps playing-pausing-playing-pausing. Grrr! I can play them on my computer, but I wanted to watch them on my bigger regular t.v. Darn it

I don't know I guess I'll look at my manual. Actually I meant to say DVD+Rs not DVD-R as the tennis DVDs are DVD+R but I'm assuming it's just burnt DVDs all together that my DVD player can't play. All I know at this point is that my DVD player can play VCDs that I burn and regular NTSC formatted DVDs. Maybe they are faulty discs, but I purchased six of them and all of them do the same thing, so I'm assuming it's my DVD player.

Update:

So my DVD player is a Pioneer DV-333. Based on what I've found it should play DVD+R, although I've read people who can and people who can't. The one I found that can't said her DVDs were Fuji, as are mine, although I can't speculate that to be the reason just from that because I can't find anywhere else that it says Fuji is the problem. I don't have a DVD burner myself so I can't test to see if the problem is the brand (or the person who burned them) or just my DVD player.

Final Update:

Grrr! Ok after just writing this I remembered I have traded two matches with some people on this board. The 2004 Myskina vs. Zvonareva marathon match at the Acura Classic (on a HP dvd+R) and from another person the 2003 Australian Open Serena vs. Clijsters (a Sony dvd+R).....both of these work fine so it's definetly the discs themselves.
