To tell the truth, without goddess Eleni Jasmin would be far behind from top 100 in doubles, but as mentioned she is in fact a nice and decent player. A handsome one just made for candlelight-dinners and holding hands.

Jasmin and Eleni are seeded in doubles. The given position No. 16 should allow them to reach 1/8-finals.

Eleni/Jasmin won a tough three-set battle and are through to the second round.
Looks like Jasmin will reach a new career-high ranking. |

Next opponents are: Castano/Craybas - very tough girls, indeed.
Craybas - well known as a former partner of the beloved Marlene Weingärtner - is a roadrunner for many years yet and an excellent return player. Wasn't she a member of the US-team at Ettenheim (a Waterloo of german Fedcup history) too?
Jaz is in the meantime one of the two remaining german girls at the AO. I wish her all the best and a Top-50 ranking in doubles.
