I was there today and I saw Miriam lose to Anne Kremer, the tournament's 7th seed but someone I thought Miriam should have been able to beat. Neither of them played well, so if Miriam had not missed so many volleys (she kept hitting them into the net) she might have won, or at least forced a third set. AARGGH!!
There's just one consolation if Miriam does fall so far in the rankings, it will mean (other things being equal) Boogie will move up a place!

Actually, it's better than that for Boogie. She'll move up 2 places on Monday, thanks to Seda dropping points as well
