Guadalajara (Spanish pronunciation [wa-da-la-ha-ra]) is the capital city of the state of Jalisco and it is also the second most populated city in Mexico. Located in the Western-Pacific region, Guadalajara is known as La Perla del Occidente (Spanish for "Pearl of the West"), la Perla Tapatía ("tapatío" is an informal adjective of origin for people and things from Guadalajara) and Ciudad de las Rosas (City of the Roses). The city is also the birthplace of mariachi music and charreadas. This attractive city is considered by some to be the "most Mexican" city, and the capital of Jalisco, the "most Mexican" state. Guadalajara is also the home to one of the most popular and beloved soccer teams in Mexico: Chivas Rayadas.

The Municipality of Guadalajara is the most populated in Jalisco with 1,646,183 inhabitants[1]. However, The Guadalajara Metropolitan Area also includes the municipalities of Zapopan, Tlaquepaque, Tonalá, Tlajomulco, Zapotlanejo and Ixtlahuacán del Río, which together totaled 4,100,000 inhabitants in 2005. Guadalajara is the second most populous metro area after Mexico City.

Rotonda Hombres Jalicienses Ilustres

The city is named after the Spanish city of Guadalajara, whose name originates from the Arabic Wad-al-hidjara, meaning "River Running Between Rocks".

Jakarta (also Djakarta or DKI Jakarta), formerly known as Sunda Kelapa, Jayakarta and Batavia is the capital and largest city of Indonesia. Located on the northwest coast of the island of Java, it has an area of 661.52 km² and a population of 8,792,000 (2004)[1]. Jakarta has been developed for more than 490 years and currently is the ninth most dense city in the world with 44,283 people per square miles[2].

As a capital city, Jakarta is the location of the international embassies while also is the location of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport. Since 2002, Jakarta, under the governance of Sutiyoso, has developed its new transportation system, which is known as "TransJakarta" or "Busway" and in 2007, Jakarta will establish its newest transportation system, the Jakarta Monorail. Jakarta also is the location of the Jakarta Stock Exchange and the National Monument. The city has attracted many migrants from all over Indonesia and other countries.
The first recorded settlement at what is now Jakarta was the port of origin can be traced to a Hindu settlement as early as the 4th century. By the 14th century, it was a major port for the Hindu kingdom of Sunda.

The first European fleet in 1513, which were four Portuguese ships from Malacca. Malacca had been conquered by Alfonso d'Albuquerque in 1511, when they were looking for spices and especially pepper. The relationship between the Kingdom of Sunda and Portugal became more intense when another Portuguese visited Sunda, named Enrique Leme with the intention to give a present. He was welcomed well in 1522 and because of that, the Portuguese received the right to build a warehouse and to expand the fort in Kalapa (the name of the location). This was regarded by the Sundanese as a consolidation of their position against the raging Muslim troops from the rising power of the Sultanate of Demak in Central Java

10000$ Limoge, France

Open Gaz de France Country Club Texonnieras

Surface: Hard

Limoges (Lemòtges / Limòtges in Occitan) is a city and commune in France, the préfecture of the Haute-Vienne département, and the administrative capital of the Limousin région. Population city: 137,502 (limougeauds), urban area: 247,944.
Limoges is known worldwide for its medieval enamels ('Limoges enamels') on copper, for its 19th century porcelain ('Limoges porcelain') and for its oak barrels (Limousin oak), which are used for Cognac production.

The City and the Castle were united in 1792 to form a single city under the name of Limoges. During the French Revolution several religious edifices, considered symbols of the Ancient Regime, were destroyed by the population: these included the Abbey of St. Martial itself.

Some years later the porcelain industry started to develope, favoured by the presence of kaolinite in the area. Much of the inhabitants became employed in the nwe sector or in the connected activities (including the lumbering of wood needed for the cooking of the porcelain).

In the 19th century Limoges saw a strong construction activity, which however included the destruction and rebuilding of much of the city's centre, regarded as unhealthy and as a nest of prostitution. The unsafety of the condition of the poorer population is highlighted by the outbroke of several riots, including that of July-November 1830, of the April 1848 and the early 1905. The first French confederation of workers, Confédération Générale du Travail (CGT), was created in Limoges in 1895

The Crpyt of Saint Martial (10th century), including the tomb of the bishop which evangelized the city. It was discovered in the 1960s.
Remains of the Gallo-Roman amphitheater, one of the largest in the ancient Gaul. It was covered with earth in the 1960s.
The Gothic cathedral of St-Etienne, begun in 1273 and finished only in 1888. It is noted for a fine rood loft built in 1534 and for the fine, partly octagonal bell tower. The main artistic work are a Renaissance rood screen and the tomb of the bishop Jean de Langeac, with sculpted scenes of the Apocalypse.

Ian Homer Cup

Surface: Hard

Tbilisi (Georgian თბილისი ) is the capital city of the country of Georgia, lying on the banks of the Kura (Mtkvari) river, at 41°43′N 44°47′E. Tbilisi is still sometimes known by its former Turkish name of Tiflis (sometimes spelled Tifflis). The city covers an area of 350 km² (135 square miles) and has more than 1.345 million inhabitants.
Tbilisi is a significant industrial, social, and a cultural center and is emerging as a major transit route for global energy/trade projects (see Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan Pipeline). The city is located along one of the historic Silk Road routes and plays an important role as a trade/transit center due to its strategic location at the crossroads between Russia's North Caucasus, Turkey, and the Transcaucasian republics of Armenia and Azerbaijan. In recent times, Tbilisi is known for the peaceful Rose Revolution which took place around the city's Freedom Square and nearby locations, after falsified parliamentary elections of 2003 led to the resignation of the GeorgianPresidentEduard Shevardnadze

1122, after heavy fighting with the Seljuks that involved at least 60,000 Georgians and up to 300,000 Turks, the troops of the King of GeorgiaDavid the Builder entered Tbilisi. After the battles for Tbilisi concluded, David moved his residence from Kutaisi (Western Georgia) to Tbilisi, making it the capital of a unified Georgian State. From 12-13th centuries, Tbilisi became a dominant regional power with a thriving economy (with well-developed trade and skilled labour) and a well-established social system/structure. By the end of the 12th century (A.D.), the population of Tbilisi had reached 80,000. The city also became an important literary and a cultural center not only for Georgia but for the larger civilized world as well. During Queen Tamar's reign, Shota Rustaveli worked in Tbilisi while writing his legendary epic poem, The Knight in the Panther's Skin. This period is widely known as "Georgia's Golden Age" or the Georgian Renaissance

10000$ Nottingham, Great Britain

Nottingham Women´s Cup

Surface: Hard

Nottingham is a city (and county town of Nottinghamshire) in the East Midlands of England. The centre of Nottingham lies on the River Leen and its southern boundary follows the course of the River Trent, which flows from Stoke to the Humber. According to the 2001 census, Nottingham has an estimated city population of 275,100. The Nottingham Urban Areaconurbation (which includes surrounding suburbs outside the city boundary, and neighbouring towns) has a population of 666,358 (2001 Census). Nottingham is a member of the English Core Cities Group.

The heart of the city is the Old Market Square, which underwent a major redevelopment in 2006. Most of the main shopping streets are around the square. The Council House, whose disproportionately tall dome can be seen for miles around, is at the top of the square. The inside of the Council House is the Exchange Arcade, a shopping centre. A bohemian quarter of the city known as Hockley has arisen in recent years, situated close to the Lace Market area. Nottingham receives a lot of tourism, mostly because of the legend of Robin Hood, visiting Sherwood forest and Nottingham Castle.
