But then I started to play better and my friend was pretty bad. I broke him after two fantastic drop shots on his serve and then won my serving game. We were winning our service games until 5:5 and then I have 40:15 on my opponent serve, but of course wasted all. -.-
My opponent was started to play better and better and won 8 consecutive games. -.-
Pretty ugly end for me today but in general I'm very satisfied. My serve was really better as in the last two meetings and during the game I got many more balls through the net. I even made about three winners.
I have still a looot of work with my serve, forehand and especially movement but I'm sure I will soon make a progress in my tennis game!

You could mention that your opponent was me. It was pretty good match overall. You played very good in first set but I raised up my level from 5-5, *15-40.
Also played against another friend today and lost 4-6, 4-6.

Re: Your tennis results?!
Played in a mixed doubles round robin this weekend. The RR matches were a 6-game proset.
We won our first match 6-4. It was a pretty decent match, my partner and I were still trying to find our groove. Prosets aren't our bag, as we are notoriously slow/funky starters. We were up 4-2, before getting back to 4-4. The guy on the other team, whom had held serve at love the first two games, had nerves in the 9th game. He double faulted twice, but it still went to the deciding deuce point. He served to my backhand and I played a perfect bh down the line to pass the girl, and get up to 5-4. I held serve easily for a 3rd time to close it out 6-4.
The second match was a horror show. We were playing a team with no power. Well actually the guy had okay power, but the woman was a pusher to the extreme of extremes. They had lost their opening match 6-0, so we were going in thinking they'd be a breeze. When we broke and I held serve for 2-0, it was going well.
Then the wheels came off. My partner double faulted 4 times in the next game to lose serve, and then a cavalcade of errors followed and we suddenly found ourselves down 2-5. At this point we were resolved to figure something out. MY partner held serve for 3-5, and the guy threw in some DFs to get us to 4-5. My serve found itself, and I held easily to bring it to a tiebreaker. Carefully, we played and won the 9-point tiebreaker 5-2. Which was more of a relief than anything else. This couple would go on to lose to the couple we beat in the 1st match 6-2.
In our last RR match we played the team that had beat the previous two teams 6-2 and 6-0 respectively. It was a pretty good match, with both of us missing some easy put aways. No one consolidated a break in the set, and we ended up losing 5-6 (3).
I was so frustrated after losing that we didn't stay for the margaritas and wine after for the players party. I had to get out of there.

Re: Your tennis results?!
Okey, today I made biggest choke ever in my life. Lost match 2-6, 6-7(5).
First set no words … errors from me all the time … I actually won these 2 games because of my serve. But in second set I played so much better and lead 5-1! But then somehow my opponent started playing better but I was serving for second set twice. At 5-4 I had 40-0 and wasted 4 SPs. Of course my opponent won next 2 games and lead 5-6. So I was serving for staying in match but was 0-40 down. I saved all 3 MPs and then also another one and somehow won this game for 6-6. In tiebreak I went up 2-0 but lost next 5 points for 2-5. Leveled up to 5-5 but lose next 2 points. It was really biggest choke in my life especially because my service was pretty solid today but I couldn't serve it out. Anyway, at least I showed some fighting spirit when saved 4 MPs on my serve. But I still can't believe that I didn't win this 2nd set. Next time (hopefully tomorrow) more luck!

Re: Your tennis results?!
Played in some thing for school today at Newcastle's District Park where I won my card before losing in the semi's. I choked hard in the semi's and was just attempting to hit winners everywhere, messy match.

Re: Your tennis results?!

Although I did win easily on Sunday 62 61 76(6) (we played 3rd set for fun)
Was losing 6-3 in the TB.

Re: Your tennis results?!
I won 6-0 6-0 6-0 today
My opponent was so bad, he let me hit like 10 aces.
Also got back from a few 0-30 and not a single game went to deuce.
Confidence Boost

Re: Your tennis results?!
Played my first match this year and it was pure gold
We played on a mud court, because this wasn't clay, way too much water on it before and then it didn't dry
I was down really fast 0-4*...played like crap, 4 DFs, no first serve, and my opponent used the shit court and dropshoted a lot of balls, which didn't bounce at all, no matter how fast I ran, I couldn't get them
then I broke him and had a 10+ minute service game at *1-4, still having a lot of issues with my serve and with everything else I hold and at 3-5* I could break again finally, I was playing a bit better, but from 30-15 on, I couldn't get a ball over the net and lost the first set 4-6.
In the 2nd set I was leading really fast with *3-0 40-30 and made my first DF since 3 service games and from there on, everything went wrong
3-1*, *4-1, 4-2*, 4-3*, *5-3, 5-4*, *5-5, 5-6* and in this game I saved 2 MPs and wasted an easy GP after an epic rally (meanwhile our team-mates, who were playing as well, all watched our match) but somehow found a way to break back to level it up 6-6.
In the TB no one could really get an advantage till *5-5, then I saved another MP at 5-6* with an BH DTL, at 6-6* I couldn't play an easy passing-shot and at the 4th MP my second serve got killed (i had one first serve in the whole TB ), but I reached the ball with my BH, but again, the ball didn't jump at all, so I could just push the ball over the net and my opponent had an easy put-away at the net to win the match 6-4 7-6(6)
After the match, I was told, that I won't play tomorrow in the club matches, but that I played really good and I will get my chance the next time
FUCK OFF THE FUCKING COURT
(First official tournament next sunday, with 2 matches then )

Re: Your tennis results?!
Won my first match 6-4 6-2 and my second 6-1 6-1.
This morning I was driving on the road to my tournament (half asleep) and the guy called me and told me that my opponent withdrew and I wouldn't be playing for like 5 hours
